The 2008 BMW X5 has been designed for better on-road performance, handling, and utility. The midsize luxury sport utility vehicle comes with extra length to accommodate more cargo and optional seats for seven passengers. The changes for 2008 are minor. It is available in two trims with two different engines: the 3.0si is powered by a 260-horsepower Inline-six cylinder engine and the 4.8i is equipped with the 350-hp 4.8-liter V-8 engine. The standard xDrive all-wheel-drive system boosts the SUV's all-weather capability.
