Hendrick BMW is now in possession of 2 vehicles that BMW said would never happen. They are M versions of their Sport Activity Vehicles. What makes the X5M and X6M so unique? First, they are the first two vehicles offered by the M Division to offer turbocharged V8 engines, All-Wheel Drive (xDrive), a true Automatic Transmission (obviously tuned for high performance duty), and of course packaged in the Sport Activity Shell.
The 4.4l V8 engine found in both models is similar to the engine found in the x6 xDrive 50i, however the turbo boost has been jacked up and horsepower climbs from 400 to 555. The performance is tremendous, with 0-60 times of 4.3 seconds, that's almost identical to the other vehicles in the M stable, the M3, M5, and M6.
