The 2009 BMW 1 Series is number one!

We have always known the class the BMW 1 Series has. This time, it receives official corroboration of the fact that the 2009 BMW 1 Series is number one in most parameters in relation to its rivals.

Consumer Guide Automotive rated some top cars in the Premium Sporty car segment for various performance categories. Many benchmarks were taken into consideration, and a rating on a scale of ten was given. Some of these categories were acceleration, at which your favorite Ultimate Driving Machine secured eight, ahead of the segment average of 6.9! And then, when cars were evaluated for fuel economy, the BMW got five, and the average for the rest of the cars was 3.5. It is similarly ahead of the segment average in categories such as ride quality; steering/handling/braking; quietness, control; details; front room comfort; cargo room and value within class.

And now the grand finale -the irresistible BMW 1 Series is far ahead in the total score by a mile. It gets 65 overall, compared to 47.7, the average in the segment!

This list of competition may look intimidating to most others, but not to BMW!
