Hendrick Marrow 5K Race

Congratulations to Hendrick BMW's Chris Cave who successfully completed the 5k Race and finished 2nd Place out of 60 participants with a time of 17:55, that equates to a 5.66 minute mile! Also on hand to show support with a fantastic effort was Clay Dellinger who finished in the Top 10 as well.

This exciting event started at the sprawling Hendrick Motorsports’ complex at Lowe’s Motor Speedway’s Rock City Campground and then headed towards the Lowe’s Motor Speedway Complex. Participants ran at the state-of-art zMax Dragway, going up one side and back down the other, then looped around the parking lot and headed over to the perimeter of The Dirt Track before crossing the pedestrian crosswalk to Lowe’s Motor Speedway.

Proceeds from this event benefitted the Hendrick Marrow Program of the Be The Match Foundationsm. The Hendrick Marrow Program works with Be The Match Foundation to support the National Marrow Donor Program® (NMDP). Specifically, it raises money to add more potential marrow donors to the Be The Match Registry, increasing the chances that more patients can find their match. It also helps patients with uninsured transplant costs, which are often barriers to treatment.
