Exciting looks, sparkling dynamics. The first-ever #BMW #X2.

BMW has released its first-ever BMW X2 for 2018; a specific release date hasn't yet been given, but we know that the first models will be arriving sometime in the Spring.

That's a few long months of waiting for what will surely be the most striking, and most sophisticated, urban crossover in the X Series lineup. If you find yourself falling for the new BMW X2 already, contact your local Hendrick BMW store to place a pre-order.

The New Design of the Newest X Series Model

The new 2018 BMW X2 joins the lineup of BMW Sport Activity Coupes, slotting in directly below the BMW X4 and the largest BMW X6. The even-numbered naming convention brands it as a coupe (similar to models like the 2 Series, 4 Series, etc.); because of this unique strategy, the X2 may suggest a larger body size than the X1, but the all-new X2 SAC is actually the smallest vehicle in the overall X Series lineup.

We don’t know exact specs at the moment, but we can be pretty confident that the BMW X2 will provide less cargo space than the BMW X4 (@ 49.4 cubic feet) or the BMW X1 (@ 58.7 cubic feet).

BMW isn't being subtle about the purpose and intent of this new model. It wasn't made for large families, fully-loaded carpools, or heavy haulers. It was created for the urban dweller who needs to be flexible; that's why a small footprint perfect for tight city streets is perfectly complemented by xDrive Al-Wheel Drive, a strong body, and impeccable driving dynamics.
