2019 BMW 5 Series in Charlotte

The 2019 BMW 5 Series Makes Opulence Accessible

The BMW 5 Series is an icon in art form, one of the most well-known luxury midsize sports sedans on the market--it's no surprise that it's such a popular option in the Charlotte area. The newest BMW 5 Series is available only in sedan form--because the brand retired the 5 Series Gran Turismo last year--and for 2019, trim levels include the BMW 530i, 530e iPerformance, 540i, and M550i.

Premium Interior Comforts

Every inch of the new 2019 BMW 5 Series has been optimized for superior interior comfort and a driver-centric layout. Classic luxury features like a sunroof, leather upholstery, and heated seats fit into what you expect--but advanced instrumentation, rear-seat entertainment, and top-of-the-line audio exceed expectations. It's everything you've wanted in a luxury sedan, in a more convenient package perfect for the city lifestyle.

Sleek and Sharp

The 2019 BMW 5 Series makes it easy to fall in love, again and again, with a design that's timeless but still modern. Dual kidney grilles, an iconic Hofmeister kink, clean lines, and aggressive rear-end styling is familiar: available exterior options like the Sport Package, Luxury Package, and M Sport Package add a dash of unique styling to the body of the 5 Series.

More Powertrain Options Than Ever

Under the hood, the BMW 5 Series is the most versatile model in the lineup. The standard BMW 530i runs on a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, good for 248 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque; the next-level BMW 540i offers a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 good for 335 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque; the top-of-the-line BMW M550i is the most powerful, with a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine good for 446 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque. For the eco-minded, the BMW 530e iPerformance model is the most efficiency-friendly, offering a hybrid-electric powertrain that runs on a 2.0-liter twin-turbo engine with a combined 248 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. The 5 Series diesel, which was just introduced for 2018, was discontinued for 2019.

Luxury Technology and Logical Security

The new 2019 BMW 5 Series comes with the brand's intuitive and user-friendly iDrive infotainment system, with media prominently displayed on a crisp 10.2-inch touch screen--though you can also opt to control the system with buttons and toggles on the steering wheel, or even with Gesture Control. New for 2019, the Apple CarPlay system is now bundled into the Navigation system on a subscription plan. A rearview camera and head-up display system make digesting environmental information easy, while safety features like available front and rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, and frontal collision warning systems keep you intelligently secure.
